The mission of the Library Research Round Table (LRRT) is to contribute toward the extension and improvement of library research; to provide public program opportunities for describing and evaluating library research projects and for disseminating their findings; to inform and educate ALA members concerning research techniques and their usefulness in obtaining information with which to reach administrative decisions and solve problems; and expand the theoretical base of the field. LRRT also, serves as a forum for discussion and action on issues related to the literature and information needs for the field of library and information science.

    Dear LRRT Members:

The Round Table Standardized Task Force is working to establish a standardized dues structure for all round tables. Each round table is represented on this task force. As the LRRT representative, I seek your input on the topic of a standardized dues structure.

The information gathered in this poll will be shared with the members of the RTCA Standardization Task Force (RTCA STF).

This poll is not binding or official, but meant to help facilitate discussion among RTCA STF representatives around standardizing dues for round tables. The information gathered here is meant to help determine what kinds of rates might acceptable for ALA round tables, and why those rates are important. The information gathered here will be used to inform reporting and discussions with the ALA Membership Committee and ALA Executive Council.

Please give your input using the survey at this link:

The survey will close Sunday, August 14, 2022.

    Thank you for your input,

    Africa Hands, PhD
    Past-Chair, LRRT
