The mission of the Library Research Round Table (LRRT) is to contribute toward the extension and improvement of library research; to provide public program opportunities for describing and evaluating library research projects and for disseminating their findings; to inform and educate ALA members concerning research techniques and their usefulness in obtaining information with which to reach administrative decisions and solve problems; and expand the theoretical base of the field. LRRT also, serves as a forum for discussion and action on issues related to the literature and information needs for the field of library and information science.

You may have already received an email inviting you to participate in this survey. If you have already completed it, please accept our thanks and delete this email as no further involvement is required. If you have not already done so, please take a moment to consider helping us with this important research, as introduced and discussed further below.  We have decided to extend the deadline to June 30 to collect responses, taking into account the busy summer and conference schedules.

We would like to invite you to participate in our study if you are a 1) Library practitioner who conducts research or 2) Library and Information Studies faculty/student that conducts research. Your participation in this study is voluntary. We are conducting a mixed-methods research study with the purpose of understanding in what ways do LIS researchers incorporate or consider cultural competence in research team development and throughout the research process, and to determine what criteria do LIS researchers recommend for developing culturally competent research.  We hope you will participate in this study.

You may locate the informed consent and survey at https://sjsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0SySCG7AHXJuNmK

Thank you for your time and consideration.
