The mission of the Library Research Round Table (LRRT) is to contribute toward the extension and improvement of library research; to provide public program opportunities for describing and evaluating library research projects and for disseminating their findings; to inform and educate ALA members concerning research techniques and their usefulness in obtaining information with which to reach administrative decisions and solve problems; and expand the theoretical base of the field. LRRT also, serves as a forum for discussion and action on issues related to the literature and information needs for the field of library and information science.

    The application period has been extended! Submit your application by March 8, 2024, 11:59 p.m., central time.

    The Research Training Institute (RTI) Assessment Findings have found the RTI Fellowship Program is highly effective in increasing the level of research knowledge, confidence, and productivity of participants, while addressing key MLA core values.

    You do not need to be an MLA member to apply! Share the news with your colleagues who may be interested in developing their research skills.

    RTI also offers numerous scholarship opportunities to MLA members help cover the cost of the program. Nonmembers are encouraged to explore membership options to gain access to scholarships and other member benefits.
