Are you interested in publishing? Please join us for the Research, Writing, and Publishing Fair!
Saturday, June 25 10:30 - 11:30
Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) W110B
Are you interested in publishing? Do you have a great idea for a publication, but aren't sure how to get started? Would you like to learn about a variety of opportunities to publish, resources to help you get started with writing an article or a book, and tools that will make research and writing for publication better and easier? Please join us for the Research, Writing, and Publishing Fair. You'll also have the opportunity to meet with Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS) editors and editorial board members; members of the ALA Library Research Round Table (LRRT), experienced authors, and more.
During this 1-hour program, participants will interact with facilitators at tables focused on six different topics:
- Publishing research papers (Faye Christenberry, Brooke Morris, Susan Thomas)
- Publishing monographs (Nadine Ellero, Michele Seikel, Mary Beth Weber)
- Mentoring programs for writing and publishing (Stephanie Alexander)
- Developing an idea/hypothesis (Karen Gavigan, Heather Moorefield-Lang)
- Research methodology (Michelle Leonard, Ginger Williams)
- Writing/productivity (Rebecca Nous, Wendy West)
This event was developed by the ALCTS Publications Committee and is co-sponsored by the ALA New Members Round Table (NMRT), the ALCTS New Members Interest Group (ANMIG), and the Library Research Round Table (LRRT).
Please contact Mary Miller, ALCTS Publications Committee Chair, with questions about the program at memiller@umn.edu.
