Make sure to check out the LIRT President's Program: Collaboration in Instruction with Other Types of Libraries
Saturday, June 28, 2025, 4pm (Eastern)
Description: Libraries of all types are facing increasing demands on their resources and requests to handle areas that may be outside their staff's area of expertise, all while also being asked to "do more with less." One solution to tackling this issue is by collaborating with other types of libraries (e.g., Public and Academic; Public and School). These types of collaborations provide librarians access to skills, techniques, resources, spaces, and experience they might not already have. In this session, participants will learn how librarians from school, public, and academic libraries are collaborating with each other to make sure their target populations are being effectively reached and served.
