Dear LIRT colleagues,
Are you working in an undergraduate-focused university/college setting? Would you like to mentor a colleague who also works in a library at such an institution? The College Libraries Section of ACRL is accepting applications for mentors in our new mentoring program until Thursday (May 15).
We are particularly in need of mentors with experience in teaching & instruction. We welcome you to share this opportunity with colleagues.
Our program offers an opportunity to learn from, and support, library workers facing the distinct challenges and opportunities of these teaching-focused colleges and universities. These institutions are often smaller and frequently assign broad portfolios of responsibilities to their library staff.
Mentor/mentee pairings will be distributed this summer, with mentoring relationships to last through the academic year, from September until May. For more information about the program, please visit our program guide.
If you have questions, please contact ACRL CLS Mentor Committee co-chairs Britt Anne Murphy (Johnsen@hendrix.edu) and Luke Vilelle (lvilelle@hollins.edu).
