    The 2025 Library History Round Table (LHRT) Research Forum is next week! Please join us virtually on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 2:00-3:30 Eastern Time (US and Canada) for three fascinating presentations on non-traditional libraries serving diverse communities in innovative ways, or "Libraries in Unexpected Places."

      • Jeanie Austin, San Francisco Public Library, and Emily Jacobson, New York Public Library - "Meeting Information Needs in Sites of Removal: A Historical Look at Carceral Library Services and Standards"
      • Jillian Kehoe, SUNY Maritime College -"A Library on Land and at Sea: Overcoming Space Challenges at Maritime College"
      • Nadine I. Kozak, School of Information Studies, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee - "Public Library Work in U.S. Business and Commercial Concerns in the First Half of the Twentieth Century"

    The Forum is free of charge and will take place virtually on July 23, 2025 from 2:00-3:30 Eastern Time (US and Canada). Non-members of ALA and LHRT are welcome to attend.
