  • 1.  Opportunity to suggest questions for interview with Wayne Wiegand

    Posted 8 hours ago

As you may have seen in an earlier post, one of the activities being planned for the upcoming ALA Sesquicentennial is a series of four oral history-style podcast episodes to be featured in ALA's How I Library podcast.

The first episode will feature noted library historian Wayne Wiegand talking about the beginnings of ALA and the library profession.

If you have questions you would like to be considered during the interview with Wayne, please reach out to me or to interviewer Phil Morehart (pmorehard@ala.org) in the next week or so. Thank you!

    Thanks for the message!

I would be curious to know if he feels like history has become marginalized in our field (such as through support for faculty doing history work) in comparison to the past? If so, does he have any ideas on how we might challenge that?
