    Greetings all,

About a year I shared the launch of the library history database, based on Ed Goedeken's bibliographies.

Since then, the database has significantly expanded.   David Lincove and I have identified hundreds of new publications and there are now over 7,400 records in the database.  The original brief citations have been enhanced - for books, tables of contents were added, and abstracts for theses and articles.   Additionally, custom metadata has been added to each record noting aspects such as the library type, time period, and demographic groups discussed (Children, Women, African-Americans, Asian Americans, etc...).  On the main search page, these can be combined in any combination desired to help discover publications of interest.

Take a look at the new, improved database.   I welcome your thoughts and additions, including if one of your publications is missing.

    Enjoy,
    Eric Novotny
