    Eli M. Oboler -(1915 – 1983)
    Eli M. Oboler worked as the longtime librarian at the Idaho State University library, later renamed the Eli M. Oboler Library, from 1949 to 1980.
    He was a prominent advocate for intellectual freedom. 
    The American Library Association remembers his work with the Eli M. The Oboler Memorial Award recognizing literary works addressing intellectual freedom, including ethical, political, or social issues.
