    Alexander Peter Allain (June 27, 1920 – January 5, 1994)
    Louisiana may have some legislation now that is worrisome, coming from a legislator in Acadiana. But always realize that there has been fierce defense of the First Amendment from Acadiana. Alexander Peter Allain was honored in 1975 by ALA with Honorary Membership for his work to found the Freedom to Read Foundation
