The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.
The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

It is important to note that if you are a current committee member or intern with a term that expires on 6/30/18 and wish to be considered for a second term (if you are eligible and the committee allows reappointment) you will need to fill out the volunteer form. Reappointment is not automatic. Filling out the form lets the appointing officer know that you are interested in reappointment, and it provides valuable career/education/experience information about the potential appointee.
The online committee volunteer form (http://www.ala.org/CFApps/volunteer/form.cfm) opens on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, and closes on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017. To volunteer, please complete and submit the form electronically (be sure to select "ALA" in the drop-down menu on the main form).
