We are hosting an intellectual freedom panel that will be moderated by one of our local news celebraties. Panelests will include public, school, and academic librarians. I am trying to put together a draft of questions for the moderator. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi Tracey:

I hope you have a great panel discussion!

A question for all the library types' reps. might be:

Have any of you witnessed or have any of your patrons' reported any incidents of a third party attempt to interrupt your intellectual freedom and/or impinge upon your privacy related to seeking/using information?

What measures, if any, have you taken to preempt challenges to books? Examples might include researching rebuttals for frequently challenged books, shelving materials in a different place (for example, not in the children's section), or perhaps speaking to an attorney to get guidance on responding to challenges.
