The Intellectual Freedom Round Table Merritt Fund Promotion Committee is pleased to invite you to drop in to a reception and fundraiser, hosted by ALA President Emily Drabinski, to benefit the Leroy C. Merritt Humanitarian Fund. Refreshments and light hors d'oeuvres will be served.
The Merritt Fund provides direct financial assistance to library workers who are denied employment rights due to their defense of intellectual freedom or because of discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or place of national origin. All conference attendees are welcome; badges are required. There is a suggested donation at the door of $10-$20. All proceeds go directly to the Merritt Fund and help librarians in need.
