The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

Hello, IFRT! I hope you're as excited about ALA Annual as we are! It's right around the corner, and we could use your help...

We are seeking some volunteers to assist at the Rally for the Right to Read. We could use help with stuffing gift bags (Friday morning), event check in, and ushering people to their seats. If you could reach out to your committees and colleagues, it would be much appreciated. Anyone who can assist is asked to contact Jazzy Celindro (jcelindro@ala.org). Please try to respond by EOD if possible.

We're also bringing back the immensely popular Banned Books From the Big Chair booth for ALA Annual 2024 (Sat-Sun, Lobby E)! We need volunteers to help attendees find the perfect banned book to read, collect release forms, and help move people through the booth. It's a great opportunity to network, make friends, and talk about your work. Please sign up and share this opportunity with your colleagues. Thank you!

Hi, all! Thank you to everyone who has signed up to volunteer -- your help is so appreciated!

We could still use some help with the Big Chair on Saturday in particular! If you have the tine or could share this with your colleagues, please do so. Thank you!
