    Hi Folks,

On behalf of the Intellectual Freedom Committee's Privacy Subcommittee, I'd like to share some upcoming events for this week and an interview we posted on Choose Privacy Everyday's Voices for Privacy blog:
    • ALA Privacy Audit Webinar: Privacy guidelines, checklists, and field guides with Julie Oborny and Erin Berman on Tuesday, November 15, 11:30 AM, Pacific Time.
    • Data Cartels Hybrid Book Event: Sarah Lamdan will be interviewed by Yasmeen Shorish on November 18, 4:30 PM, Eastern Time. Registration is free and available in-person and online.
    • Interview with the Author of Data Cartels: Michelle Gibeault interviewed Sarah Lamdan for the Voices for Privacy blog. Librarian and law professor Sarah Lamdan is the author of Data Cartels: The Companies that Monopolize and Control our Information published on November 8, 2022 by Stanford University Press.
Privacy is an integral part of intellectual freedom and ethical library service, especially with regard to technology. We hope you will consider sharing this information with your networks, joining us for these events, and reading Gibeault's interview with Lamdan.

    Thank you,
