Join IFRT for a virtual author talk and Q&A with Adam Szetela, author of That Book Is Dangerous!. Szetela examines how both left- and right-wing pressures-including identity politics, moral panics, and social media-are reshaping publishing, particularly for children's and young adult books. Through interviews with authors, publishers, librarians, and agents, he explores the impacts on literary freedom, the techniques used to mitigate controversy, and the broader cultural forces driving censorship today.

Read an excerpt from the book ahead of the discussion. The book-burners have taken over the publishing house | Spiked
