The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

    Hello everyone,

    Support The Merritt Fund with two fundraisers at ALA Annual this year!

    ⚾ Get discounted tickets to the Chicago White Sox game on Sunday afternoon! The Chicago White Sox will make a donation to The Merritt Fund for every ticket purchased.

    🎶Go busking for The Merritt Fund! We're looking for volunteers to busk for donations at ALA Annual 2026. No musical experience required, just have fun and spread some joy (think kazoos and egg shakers!). 100% of donations go to The Merritt Fund. Sign-up to express interest or get more information!

    Not going to ALA? Consider donating directly to The Merritt Fund and give love to library workers who need our support now more than ever.
