The Intellectual Freedom Committee of the Southeastern Library Association invited you to continue your intellectual freedom celebrations with a free webinar, Wednesday October 15 at 3pm Eastern/2pm Central.

The topic is  "It's a Miserable, Scary, Stressful Time to Be a Librarian": Attitudes and Opinions of Alabama Public Library Workers Regarding Intellectual Freedom and Censorship," featuring Dr. Laura Pitts from Jacksonville State University's Houston Cole Library.

Dr. Pitts' timely research captured attitudes of Alabama public library workers in the current moment, in a time and place when the right to read is under fire.

The event will take place at 2pm Central, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
Look for an email with a link to the Zoom session twenty four hours before then.
