Researching Career Repercussions for Ethical Stances

Hi, fellow public librarians. I'm doing research for something I'm writing and hope to publish. I am a blogger for ALA-OIF, but this is NOT for the blog.

In our polarized society, public libraries are being seen more and more as political footballs to be kicked through ideological goal posts in order to score electoral points.

In your career, have you faced termination, discipline or intimidation as a library employee because you sought, encouraged or defended a politically neutral stance for your library OR because you sought to keep your public library's voice from being used to further an agenda you felt was unethical? Do you know of anyone whose story should be told?

I'm interested in your story. Anonymity will be respected. Please email me at deschete76@gmail.com

    Thank you!
