    Posted Sep 11, 2025 10:42 AM

Good morning, everyone!  Just a reminder that ALA President-Elect Maria McCauley is inviting  ALA Members to volunteer for ALA standing committees for the 2026-2028 term.  Applications are due no later than September 30, 2025.

Full details and the application  are available via the Call for ALA Standing Committee Volunteers for 2026-2028

Anyone who might be interested in becoming a member of the Intellectual Freedom Committee or the Committee on Professional Ethics should complete an application.  There are other standing committees that need volunteers and do important work on behalf of ALA as well, such as the Committee on Legislation and the Committee on Library Advocacy.

Please reach out to Betsy or myself if you have any questions.
