The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

     Hello IFRT Family!

    Just a reminder that IFRT is looking for dedicated members of the IF community to be part of the IFRT Executive Committee.

    If you are a member in good standing of The Intellectual Freedom Round Table then please consider running for IFRT office! If you are searching for a way to work with other library professionals to discuss and address the increasing attacks on intellectual freedom you have the opportunity to serve on the IFRT Executive Committee.

    The open offices are: Chair Elect , Treasurer,  and Director at Large (2)

    Please consider nominating yourself or someone else by contacting me directly through ALA Connect or replying individually to this message. Also, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. The deadline for submitting your nomination is Friday, September 30th.

    For more information about the IFRT Election process and candidate eligibility please refer to the Election section of the IFRT handbook. The Nominating Committee hopes to hear from you!
