    Greetings Katherine,

Thank you for sharing the agenda! I have possible corrections prior to the meeting:

    • The January meeting notes were not approved at the February meeting because they were not complete. I see that they are now complete. Can these be added for review and approval? Link tohttps://connect.ala.org/ifrt/viewdocument/ifrt-minutes-january-13-2026?CommunityKey=5812ad29-f5dc-43af-a4b8-91c69093da60&tab=librarydocuments Jan meeting notes.
    • If the committee reviews the January meeting notes, the committee will see that I believe we have already taken action on New Business > Letter of Concern. I have quoted the notes below. Therefore, I would like to suggest that we remove the new business, and instead have under Old Business: Status Update on the Statement Reaffirming IFRT's Commitment to Opposing Book Ratings and Labelling. I fear that if the agenda stands as-is we are about to revisit a topic  that the committee has already discussed extensively.

"Amanda J. requests that IFRT issues a statement reaffirming our commitment to
opposing book rating and labeling systems in alignment with ALA and AASL policy. She also
requests that IFRT create a task force to develop a resolution reaffirming ALA's
commitment to intellectual freedom regarding labeling and rating systems to be presented
to Council at ALA Annual. Discussion ensued. Amanda S. reported that the Programming
Committee is planning some informational sessions on new interpretations of the Library
    Bill of Rights.
Johannah moves that we establish a task force as described by Amanda J. Frieda
seconds. Amanda J. will bring a draft resolution to the February meeting. Betsy pointed out
that once a resolution is drafted, it should be shared with IFC, and not leaked outside our
two groups. Since Johannah is the chair of IFC this year, she will bring the draft to that
    body. "

Thank you for considering my suggested changes to the agenda. If it is too late to adjust the agenda, I will suggest these edits at the top of the meeting.
