The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

    Hi All!

    This is a friendly reminder that you still have time to self-nominate to run for an IFRT Executive Committee position!

     IFRT is seeking interested candidates to stand for election during the 2024 ALA election. Open positions on the IFRT executive board include:
    • IFRT Chair / Chair-Elect
    • IFRT Secretary
    • IFRT Councilor
    • IFRT Director-at-Large (2 positions)
    Submit a candidate biographical information form by Friday, November 10
    Candidates must be current members of ALA and the IFRT to be eligible.
