The Freedom from Religion Foundation took the stance of "recognizing library workers on April 25." The column concludes with the following statement: "Libraries are one of our most valuable resources, and librarians need our support now more than ever. Show up to library and school board and city/county council meetings. Call your elected representatives. Make it clear that if your voice is not heard now, it certainly will be heard in the voting booth. In any crisis, the best time to act is yesterday, but the second best time to act is today."
