The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

    Call for volunteers for ALA Core Values Working Groups

    ALA President Emily Drabinski announces a call for volunteers to serve on the ALA Core Values Working Groups. Per Council Document #34, approved at the recent LibLearnX 2024 meeting, the ALA Executive Board will assign working groups, committees, or round tables to write interpretations for each Core Value.
    Volunteers must be active ALA Members. Please note that filling out this form inidicates your interest to the ALA Executive Board and does not guarantee appointment. The ALA Executive Board will make the final appointments to the Working Groups.  Deadline is Thursday, February 29, 2024.
