The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

    Hello, everyone. I'm sharing this on behalf of Dr. Ann D. David, Chair of the Committee Against Censorship for NCTE. I've enjoyed working with Ann on a number of projects and thought you might find this of interest.

    She has opened the call for proposals for the 3rd volume of The Impacts of Censorship, this one focused on youth voices. They are looking for both research and narrative/essay pieces that center/feature/are written by young people. Proposals are fairly short and due on 3/30.
