Call for Members for Task Force to Create Resolution Labeling/Rating Systems

  • 1.  Call for Members for Task Force to Create Resolution Labeling/Rating Systems

    Hi all,

Thanks for your patience while I got situated (I'm serving on a jury for a civil case as well, so I had some rearranging to do!) I'm looking to get interested parties together for the task force to:

    • Have IFRT develop a resolution reaffirming ALA's commitment to intellectual freedom regarding labeling and rating systems as approved in the January 2026 Executive Committee meeting

I have a couple of names of interested IFRT members already but wanted to formally put out a call. I think the simplest way to keep track since I'm posting in Members and in the Executive Committee) would be to have people that are interested message me directly on ALA Connect (or send me an email).

Work will likely take place between April and June.

I'm also happy to answer any questions as well via Connect or email!

    Thank you,

    Steph

    IFRT Chair-Elect

I'll also plug that IFRT Chair Wanda also called for interested members to participate in other task forces in the same meeting:

    • Merging IFRT Committees
    • IFRT Merchandising and promotions

If you're interested in one of these, I'll get your name to the right people!
