The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

    Dear Colleagues,

    Are you attending ALA's Annual Conference 2026 in Chicago?

    If so, we are inviting you to participate in our session on Sunday, June 28th at 11:00 a.m. W 187 ABC McCormick Place (see the link below for more info). 

    We are an author, an editor, and school librarians from around the globe who are excited to share our work focused on equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and intellectual freedom. We are all contributors to the book Radical School Librarianship: A Global Response (Facet, 2025).
