IFRT Bylaws Amendments - Vote in the ALA Election March 8-April 7

  • 1.  IFRT Bylaws Amendments - Vote in the ALA Election March 8-April 7

In 2021, there will be three items on the IFRT/ALA ballot reflecting proposed changes to the IFRT bylaws. These changes must be approved by the membership by a majority of votes cast in order for the amendments to be adopted. If approved, the changes will take effect immediately upon certification of the election results.

The IFRT Bylaws & Organization Committee has written a blog post outlining the proposed changes and providing context for why the changes are needed: Three Bylaws Amendments on the 2021 IFRT Ballot: Review the Proposed Changes. Please give it a read, and vote in the ALA Election. Electronic ballots for the ALA Election will be sent to ALA Members on March 8 and must be filled out and submitted by April 7.

Join the IFRT Nomination Commitee for an Election Happy Hour on Monday, March 8 to chat about the propsed bylaws amendments. This is also a chance to meet candidates for the IFRT Executive Board, and to get some cool digital swag.
