The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

2018-2019 Directors at Large Appointments

    As part of the bylaws for IFRT, each Director-at-Large is supposed to be on two standing committees. 
    These are one year appointments, and the primary job is to be a liaison between the Board and the group to make sure that everything is working well and to take on small tasks as needed for the committee. If there are issues in the committee, lack of communication, etc, this would be a point person to bring any concerns to.
    Here are the committees and directors:
    Kristin Joy Anderson: Oboler (already on), Merritt Fund Promotion
    Sarah Lynn Houghton: Publications (already on), Coalition
    Wandae Mae Huffaker: Membership, Bylaws
    Eldon Ray James: Program, Imroth
