    Hi everyone!

The IFRT Executive Committee met earlier today and we talked about an ALA initiative that members recently received information about via email: The ReMember Fund. For more information on this fund,  you can visit ALA ReMember Fund

    ALA ReMember Fund
The ReMember Fund is being established to ensure that library worker members can maintain ALA membership during times of financial insecurity. Keeping members connected to fellow library workers and the resources available from ALA, is so important during challenging times. Recipients will receive a non-renewable sponsorship to cover ALA basic membership dues for one year.

The IFRT executive committee questioned whether there was anything IFRT could do to assist with the maintenance of Round Table membership. We recognize that confidentiality could be a concern to take into account but wondered if the IFRT membership had thoughts (or suggestions) on ways that we could assist members that might be affected during this period of financial insecurity but were still looking to engage with the work of the round table. The ReMember Fund, only covers basic ALA membership. Since IFRT wouldn't necessarily have information about whether someone was applying for this fund, the onus to self-identify might be with individual members if they wished to retain their IFRT membership.

Looking forward to hearing thoughts from IFRT membership!

    Thank you,
    Steph
