The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

    IFRT Strategic Planning - Draft Plan 2019-2022The IFRT Strategic Planning Task Force has approved a draft strategic plan. It is open for comment and discussion through the end of May. Everyone is encouraged to comment as they see fit with additions, changes, and recommendations.     The Board will be asked to approve this plan at our virtual meeting preceding the Annual Conference with an eye towards discussing implementation at our in-person meeting.
