Hello GameRTMembers!
This May, in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, nonprofit MESH Helps is inviting our members to participate in the Play for Resilience™ campaign - a national initiative highlighting the role of play in supporting children's mental, emotional, and social health.
MESH Helps' mission is to help kids build resilience through play by strengthening the critical skills of mental, emotional, and social health.
In alignment with the American Library Association's commitment to serving and strengthening communities, MESH Helps is providing complimentary resources and resilience-building play products to support caregivers and children through meaningful play experiences. This initiative is designed to engage families, spark connection, and bring increased visibility to the library as a hub for well-being and learning.
Up to 300 libraries selected by MESH Helps will receive, at no cost:
-
A Play for Resilience digital toolkit with MESH resources
-
A shipment of MESH-Accredited toys and/or games for display or programming
-
Access to a live webinar to support implementation
The campaign runs throughout May and is designed to be flexible whether you create a small display, integrate materials into storytime, or host a resilience-themed event.
Product shipments will be sent mid-April and will include items designed for ages 3-12, such as puzzles, board games, logic games, construction toys, and other play products that support resilience-building skills. Specific products and age ranges will be determined by MESH Helps.
Registration is open through March 31st for US libraries. Participation is limited, and libraries will be selected based on program fit and notified in early April.
Together, we can help families discover how everyday play builds confidence, communication, and connection!
