  • 1.  Look at my DnD Poster!

Hello everybody! I just wanted to post a picture of the DnD poster I made for my library. I'm super proud! I felt like many patrons borrowing the books were first timers, so I made this poster to explain how each book relates to the other.

Wow, nicely done!  And kudos to your library on bringing RPGs to your user community!  It's such an empowering format for so many.

Thanks! I tried to get a starter kit bags going, but I could only convince them to get the books at this juncture. I will keep chipping away though!

Really wonderful work, Margaret! Your work visually alluring and easy to read.

My library system hosts quarterly one-shots for adults; having a one-shot format / isolated adventure is super helpful for engaging new players.

Thank you! Do you have any recommendations for any specific one-shots? I have used DMsGuild to search but sometimes that takes quite a bit of time to find a one-shot that is the correct length of time and skill level and still be fun. I'm hoping to convince my Library to do more!

If you don't mind PDFs or can print them, most games/systems offer starter adventures to introduce their setting and rules.  And a lot of the titles that come our for Free RPG Day are release later on as free PDFs as well. Drivethrurpg is a great source for all these files.

Free RPG Day is June 22, 2024!

If you are looking for specific things to buy, I really liked the Dungeons on Demand series by Dan Coleman. I've run his adventures as one shots and as connecting stories in larger campaigns.
