The mission of the Games and Gaming Round Table is to provide the following:
  • A forum for the exchange of ideas and concerns surrounding games in libraries;
  • Resources to the library community to support the building and maintaining of library game collections;
  • A force for initiating and supporting game programming in libraries;
  • Create an awareness of, and need for, the support of the value of gaming and play in libraries, schools, and related learning communities.
  • Create an awareness of the value of games and gaming in library outreach and community engagement plans.
  • A professional and social forum for networking among librarians and non-librarians interested in games and gaming.

    A group of Maryland based friends that self-publish games, as Junk Food Games. They make small games and many are designed for solo play, making things that have the potential for big moments and quiet introspection.

    Junk Food Games will be donating 13 packages of the following games: Necromancer Heretic (zine-style solo RPG), Death Cap Sauté (zine-style GM-less RPG), Moon Rings (spiral bound solo RPG), and Strange Saplings (zine-style collection of 10 micro-games). Only 13 libraries will be selected to receive one of these packages.     Register by September 30 to be eligible for physical games. Register by November 1 to be eligible for download and discount codes. While GameRT membership is not required to register for IGM, membership will provide you with a higher likelihood of obtaining physical and digital prizes.
