August 2026 GameRT Board Meeting

  • 1.  August 2026 GameRT Board Meeting

    Posted 4 hours ago

    Hello, esteemed GameRT Colleagues!

I hope you had a lovely July and a fantastic beginning of your August.  I am so excited to kick off the 2026-2027 GameRT cycle with y'all, and I am grateful for everyone's work, expertise, and collaboration. Three cheers to you!

First off, I wanted to apologize again for getting this information out to everyone later than I would have liked. I will commit to a more regular "2 to 1.5 week" notice ahead of board meetings in the future to give everyone the time they need to add updates. I appreciate folks' patience.

    • Here is a link to the updated 08_2026_GameRT Board Meeting Agenda. Committee chairs & board members, please populate it with any updates / action items you'd like to tackle at the meeting. I have quite a few Magely items to cover but I will try to be quick about it.
    • And here is the Zoom Link to the August board meeting. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone next week.

Finally, I want to remind all 2026-2027 committee chairs & co-chairs to please:

    • Make sure you have access to the Google Drive folders you need to do your committee work; if you need access, reach out to me and I'll take care of it ASAP.
    • Please confirm your meeting schedule with your committee members and make sure they have the information / access they need to attend and do work.
    • Please post in your respective ALA Connect committee spaces to welcome folks and being sparking conversation there.

And, of course, always feel free to reach out to me at Chris.Baker@dpi.wi.gov if you think I might be missing something or may need to adjust / address anything. I am bound to make mistakes and forget things early on into my Magely tenure, and I'd be very grateful for folks' recommendations and feedback.

    Stay groovy, y'all.

    ~Chris Baker
