Take action to support Right to Read Day!

    Dear member leaders:

To kick off National Library Week, Monday is Right to Read Day! Unite Against Book Bans has suggested several actions that people can take. They range in level of effort, from writing your member of Congress to making a donation to the Merritt fund to thanking a librarian to getting involved at the library. You can view the actions on the Right to Read Day web page

We've found that the best way to get advocates engaged is to show examples of advocacy in action. We're encouraging ALA member leaders to take at least one action and post about it on social media before or during the week. We're hoping that others will be inspired to join you!

Could you take one of the actions listed on the Right to Read Day landing page, then share the activity on your social media accounts using the branded social media assets available midway down the page? We'd appreciate your support!

If you have any questions, please email the team at UniteAgainstBookBans@ala.org.

    Thank you!
