  • To serve as a source of information on recommended ethnic collections, services, and programs.
  • To organize task forces, institutes, and workshops to carry out the functions of the Round Table as defined in the petition.
  • To develop for Annual conferences forums and symposia programs that deal with the key issues of ethnicity and librarianship.
  • To maintain a liaison with the Office of Library Outreach Services and cooperate with other ALA units, including the caucuses in joint projects for the betterment of outreach services.
  • To disseminate the work of the Round Table through a program of publications

    The Centre for Pictorial Holocaust Narratives is a newly created interdisciplinary and transnational centre of expertise bringing together scholars, educators, and institutions committed to the research and teaching of pictorial Holocaust narratives specialising in graphic novels, picture books, illustrated books, and their hybrid forms. It is a collaboration between the University of Siegen and the Technical University of Braunschweig, and a group of national and international partners. The centre will comprise a multi-site, multi-lingual core corpus with additional dedicated research collections.

    They will be having their first "Reading and In Conversation With..." program on May 6 (talk is in German) and June 10 (talk is in English). You can register with the QR code here:
