Hi friends --
My name is Bernadette Lear and I am co-editor of Libraries: Culture, History, and Society (LCHS), the official scholarly journal of the American Library Association's Library History Round Table, which focuses on the history of libraries and librarianship. We want to expand our reviewer database, particularly for incoming manuscripts about topics beyond U.S. borders. Latin America and Africa are two areas of high need, but we welcome reviewers from all parts of the globe. Reviewers with expertise in all historical eras and any aspect of librarianship are welcomed -- from ancient times to the present, all types of libraries, library work, and book history.
If you aren't a reviewer for LCHS, but you'd like to become one, please send an e-mail to LCHS@press.psu.edu. Include a brief statement (a few sentences) to introduce yourself. Also attach a CV or resume which emphasizes your educational background and your experiences (if any) in scholarly publishing and reviewing. Volunteers who have been positively vetted will be added to our database and encouraged to complete their registration in the journal's peer review system, Editorial Manager.
Thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to hearing from you!
Bernadette :)
