  • To serve as a source of information on recommended ethnic collections, services, and programs.
  • To organize task forces, institutes, and workshops to carry out the functions of the Round Table as defined in the petition.
  • To develop for Annual conferences forums and symposia programs that deal with the key issues of ethnicity and librarianship.
  • To maintain a liaison with the Office of Library Outreach Services and cooperate with other ALA units, including the caucuses in joint projects for the betterment of outreach services.
  • To disseminate the work of the Round Table through a program of publications

    Hi all, 

    If you're attending ALA Annual in Chicago next month, please mark your calendars for the ALSC (Association for Library Services to Children) President's Program on Monday. The panel features three amazing leaders within the library and book community. I cannot wait to hear their conversation and I hope to see you there!     "Leading with Your Hands and Your Heart: A Conversation about Leading from Wherever You Are

    Monday, June 23, 1:00-2:30pm, McCormick Place W470

    ALA Annual 2023 Conference, Chicago, IL

    Join us for a conversation with Newbery Award Winning Author Linda Sue Park ; Author, Co-founder, and CEO of We Need Diverse Books Ellen Oh; and Dr. Ling Hwey Jeng, Professor and Director, School of Library, and Information Studies at Texas Woman's University. This interactive program will explore ways to identify and activate leadership skills and areas of potential at all levels of library work. Space for connection, networking, and reflection will be included. 


    The ALSC Charlemae Hill Rolls President's Program is sponsored by the Charlemae Hill Rollins Endowment and supported by HarperCollins Children's Books and Texas Woman's University.
