  • To serve as a source of information on recommended ethnic collections, services, and programs.
  • To organize task forces, institutes, and workshops to carry out the functions of the Round Table as defined in the petition.
  • To develop for Annual conferences forums and symposia programs that deal with the key issues of ethnicity and librarianship.
  • To maintain a liaison with the Office of Library Outreach Services and cooperate with other ALA units, including the caucuses in joint projects for the betterment of outreach services.
  • To disseminate the work of the Round Table through a program of publications

    Dear Current & Former IRRT (International Relations Round Table) Members:

    You are invited to participate in an IRRT research project in celebration of IRRT's 75th Anniversary!

    Your participation in this study will offer a greater understanding of IRRT membership needs, benefits, and potential barriers. This survey will not collect any personal information and is strictly voluntary. It should no more than 5-7 minutes to complete.  If you would like additional information concerning this study, please contact the survey administrator at the information below.     The results of this survey will be presented at the 2024 ALA Annual Conference and published in International Leads by the 2024 IRRT Emerging Leaders cohort. It will also be used by the IRRT Membership Committee to inform future IRRT objectives, membership activities, and resources.
