    Greetings to all,

    Join EMIERT at ALA Annual

I hope you join us on Friday, June 25 at 11:15 a.m. for a discussion about the "Future of Children's Literature:  Where  We've Been and Where We are Going."  Our panelists will include:  Dr. Sarah Park Dahlen, Eboni M. Henry, Madeline Tyner and Jason Low.  We will also present our presentation to KC Boyd, EMIERT's 2021 Distinguished Librarian Award Winner.

Join us that evening for EMIERT's Taste of the Town.  We have some wonderful guest chefs:  Author Joe Ann Williams-Nelson and Molly Higgins from APALA's Community Kitchen.  They will show us how to make a quick and easy lasagna, banana pudding, and two variations of cold sesame noodles (vegan and non vegan).   A link to the ingredients  for each recipe will be provided before the event. So, grab a beverage, bring a few recipes (for quick recipe swap), and plan to have a great cultural experience - right in your own kitchen.

Join EMIERT for a News You Can Use Session on  Diverse Book Finders (A Free Collection Analysis Tool) that will help librarians evaluate the diversity in their collections and discover a world of diverse books.  Presentation by: DR. Krista Aronson.

Don't forget to check out EMIERT's Diversity in ACTION Book Hop with Heidi Rabinowitz and Sadaf Siddique at the Diversity Fair.
