Oak Park PL Restorative Justice "Conference"

  • 1.  Oak Park PL Restorative Justice "Conference"

So Oak Park Public Library has apparently been doing a Restorative Justice "conference" for 3 years now annually. This year it's a month long and, like everything else, virtual, which means anyone from anywhere can participate. I wanted to learn more about it so I popped into a few sessions yesterday. The word "conference" doesn't quite feel right for it to me--partially because it's more active participation than I typically think of conferences as being--but it was definitely interesting and educational for me to get to see this unique example of programming at a library. I thought other in this group would find it relevant, so just passing it on. The schedule and registration can be found here: All October: Participate in the virtual Restorative Justice Conference - Oak Park Public Library

2020 theme: The Medicine Wheel: Balancing Humanity We're excited to announce that Oak Park's third annual Restorative Justice Conference will take place virtually, all throughout October. This year's theme is The Medicine Wheel: Balancing Humanity (watch the video and see below for more on this theme).

Thanks and I hope this ends up being meaningful for some people here.
