Greetings EMIERT. Dr. Chandler was an EMIERT member, and a mentor, friend, and educator to so many of us.

I thought many of you would like to know about this February 9 event.  My apologies for cross-duplication.
UNT College of Information is hosting a virtual fund-raising event in remembrance of Dr. Chandler on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 6 pm (Central Time). The Zoom link to register for the event is: https://tinyurl.com/ychandler.

Dr. Yvonne J. Chandler Endowed Scholarship in Library Science

UNT College of Information, Department of Information Science is announcing the establishment of a memorial scholarship in appreciation of Yvonne J. Chandler, Ph.D. This endowment is to remember Dr. Chandler, a beloved and respected library educator for more than 30 years, who was known for her energetic, vibrant personality, and willingness to help students in need, regardless of their social-economic status, cultural background, and ethnicity. Through her tenure at UNT, she supported hundreds of students through her grant writing efforts and professional mentorship.

Join the Information Science Department, alumni and friends to recognize her tremendous work throughout the years as an incalculable legacy for our students that must continue in her name. Your contribution to this endowed scholarship will carry on the work of Dr. Chandler and become an annual award to support students in library science. The scholarship will continue the education of future generations of librarians, an obvious link to the ultimate outcome of Yvonne's teaching prowess.
