This is Patrice-Andre Prud’homme, Co-chair of the ALCTS Digital Preservation IG (DPIG) along Marielle Veve. We would like to follow up with a survey performed by the DPIG in late 2016 on the future charge of the IG. Results showed a particular interest in coordinating efforts with other Digital Preservation related groups and/or programs (94% of the respondents agreed to this). An example would be coordinating efforts with an ACRL IG and/or other committees.
We are reaching out to all of you to see if anyone here may know of active ACRL/ALA unit members in the areas of DP who may be interested in joining efforts with our IG to create programs, provide education, experience, and/or training to the field of DP. It can be on any aspect of DP, (e.g. management, access, policy of digital assets, and research data as new forms of digital scholarship and new models of virtual collections develop.)
