Urban School Districts that Are or Have Been Adding Librarians

  • 1.  Urban School Districts that Are or Have Been Adding Librarians

    Hello Fellow Colleagues,

I am working with the School District of Philadelphia to craft a grant application to examine successful strategies that large urban school districts have used to justify/implement adding school librarian positions. If you work in a large urban district that has added or is in the process of adding librarian positions, would you be willing to participate in a zoom to identify strategies that worked/are working? If you know your district is adding position, but you do not have direct knowledge of how that happened, at least giving me a district contact with whom I could connect.

If our grant gets funded (IMLS Laura Bush Planning Grant), these strategies will be compiled and publicly available on our project website. Thank you so much, Deb

P.S. You can email directly if you wish at dkachel@antioch.edu
