Membership in the AASL Chapters Forum is open to all and may include the state-level school library association’s president/chair, other officers, conference chair, etc. Past Delegates and other interested stakeholders from the association may join the forum. This space provides an opportunity to share, discuss and ask questions from chapter colleagues across the country.

    Don't Miss These Upcoming Deadlines

     

    • Thirty $750 travel grants, sponsored by Bound to Stay Bound Books, are available for first-time attendees of the AASL National Conference. Apply by April 30, 2025, at ala.org/aasl/awards/btsb.
    • Save $70 on AASL National Conference registration! Use code AASL70 at national.aasl.org before April 30!
    • Fifteen $500 "Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM) Collection Development Grants," sponsored by the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History, are available to AASL members to create or expand collections highlighting Jewish experience, achievement, and identity. Apply by May 1, 2025, at ala.org/aasl/awards/JAHM.

    • Join us on Wednesday, May 14, at 6:00 p.m. Central for AASL's annual virtual membership meeting! Hear from AASL President Becky Calzada as she reflects on a year of initiatives, achievements, and growth. Get an insider's look at the "state of the association," celebrate accomplishments, explore new programs, and learn about what's ahead.
    • AASL is now accepting nominations for the AASL Distinguished Service Award, which honors individuals with significant national contributions to school librarianship. The award includes a $1,000 cash prize, free registration for the AASL National Conference, and a three-night hotel stay in St. Louis. Nominations are due by May 31, 2025. Submit nominations via the AASL website: ala.org/aasl/awards/service.
