    Good afternoon,
Please excuse duplication in the AASL Chapter Delegate space.
We have a Chapter Assembly meeting in November and we are looking to have a discussion around mentorship programs.
IF your Chapter has a mentorship program (in any status...new, needing revision, working well, etc) that you would be willing to share in less than 5 minutes online, please let me know and I will share the slide deck with you..
Slides should be finalized by 11/2 for the 11/9 Chapter meeting.
Please reach out if you have questions!
Thanks for lending your ideas to the discussion.
    Barb

    NJASL has this:

We provide official certification mentorship (Michelle McGreivey), we also partner up with Library Link NJ and we offer regular meetups. Anyone who contacts us with requests for mentorship is being taken care of, mostly by Michelle. We didn't think there was a need for more.
With Chapter 9b we made a request that DOE would recognize us as an official mentor for school librarians since not every school district has an experienced and certified school librarian to be qualified to become a mentor.  As of right now school districts can make any tenured teacher to be a librarian's mentor.
