During the 2023 ALA Annual conference in Chicago, AASL President Kathy Lester will convene a panel of Freedom to Read Ambassadors for a conversation on why it is important for all learners to have access to a wide variety of books and information. The panel will include Becky Calzada, Dr. Sonja Cherry-Paul, Amanda Jones, and Kelly Yang. The AASL President's Program will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 10:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. Central.
